Director y Catedrático

Juan Carlos Trujillo es Profesor Titular en la Universidad de Alicante, Dpto. de Software y Sistemas Informáticos. Desde que obtuvo su doctorado en 2001, ha liderado la investigación en Inteligencia de Negocio y Big Data en el Departamento y también ha sido el fundador y director del Grupo de Investigación Lucentia desde 2008. Principales temas de investigación: Big Data, Ingeniería de Requisitos, Aprendizaje Automático, Inteligencia de Negocio, Almacenes de Datos y Sistemas de Ayuda a la Decisión. Ha asesorado a 14 estudiantes de doctorado. Es autor de más de 200 artículos en congresos, como RE, ER, UML, DAWAK o CAiSE, y de más de 70 artículos en JCR, como FG, DSS, ISOFT, IS o InfSci. Es miembro del Comité de Programa de varios congresos de primer nivel y ha sido Presidente de varios talleres y congresos. También ha sido investigador principal de proyectos de investigación y transferencia de tecnología. Es el cofundador principal de la empresa Lucentia Spin-off, centrada en Inteligencia Artificial, Big Data y Blockchain, principalmente. Titulado como Project Management Professional ( PMP® ) por Project Management Institute (PMI®).

Profesor Ayudante Doctor

Miguel A. Teruel es  Profesor Ayudante Doctor en el Departamento de Software y Sistemas Informáticos de la Universidad de Alicante. Además, es el Director del  Máster Universitario en Desarrollo de Aplicaciones y Servicios Web en dicha institución. Antes de unirse al mundo académico, Miguel A. Teruel desempeñó diversos roles en el sector empresarial, como consultor senior de TI y CEO de MTMinfo. Gracias a su trayectoria y excelente desempeño en su labor, recibió una beca FPU del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de España en el período de 2012 a 2016, con una estancia internacional en la VU Universiteit de Amsterdam. Miguel A. Teruel es autor de numerosos artículos en relevantes congresos internacionales y revistas JCR. Su tesis doctoral fue galardonada con el Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado por la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha y la Mejor Tesis Nacional de Doctorado por la Sociedad Española de Ingeniería del Software y Tecnologías del Desarrollo del Software (SISTEDES). Actualmente, su labor investigadora se centra en entornos Post-WIMP, eHealth, Big Data Analytics, Gamification y Blockchain.

Mate Morga

Profesor Titular Universidad

Alejandro Mate es Profesor Titular en la Universidad de Alicante, donde ha trabajado desde el año 2010. Posee un título de Ingeniería en Informática, el cual obtuvo en el año 2009, y posteriormente se graduó como Doctor en Informática en 2013. Luego de finalizar sus estudios, Alejandro Mate realizó estancias postdoctorales en Italia y trabajó en una empresa como arquitecto de Business Intelligence y Big Data. Durante su trayectoria como investigador, ha centrado sus esfuerzos en la Inteligencia de Negocio y las Analíticas, con más de 50 artículos publicados en conferencias internacionales y revistas especializadas. Ha desarrollado sistemas analíticos y software para proyectos tanto nacionales como internacionales, y ha recibido reconocimientos por la novedad de sus algoritmos. En la actualidad, se encuentra enfocado en proyectos relacionados con el Internet de las Cosas (IoT), lo que le permite continuar contribuyendo al desarrollo y la innovación en el ámbito de la tecnología.

José Manuel Barrera Arroyo trabaja actualmente como estudiante de doctorado en la Universidad de Alicante, tras obtener el premio extraordinario del máster en Ingeniería Informática en 2019. Recientemente ha publicado el artículo “Solar Energy Prediction Model Based on Artificial Neural Networks and Open Data” y tiene pendientes otras publicaciones en reconocidas revistas de alto impacto. Sus intereses son machine y Deep learning, análisis de datos, ciencia de datos, IoT y E-Health y BigData.

María Pilar Escobar es Doctora en Informática por la Universidad de Alicante. Actualmente realiza labores de investigación y desarrollo en la Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes. Sus principales áreas de investigación son los sistemas de información para bibliotecas digitales, la recuperación de información y la web semántica. También es autora de varias publicaciones y ha participado en la adopción de estándares y en la integración de Linked Open Data en bibliotecas digitales.

Ana Lavalle, PhD (2021, Universidad de Alicante), es Profesora Asociada del Departamento de Software y Sistemas Informáticos (Universidad de Alicante) e Investigadora Postdoctoral en el proyecto BALLADEER – PROMETEO/2021/088 (A Big Data analytical platform for the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) featuring extended reality), del instituto universitario de investigación informática. Sus principales áreas de investigación son Visualización de Big Data, Analítica de Datos, Ingeniería de Requisitos y ética y sesgos en Inteligencia Artificial. Durante su investigación, ha publicado artículos en congresos internacionales relevantes y revistas JCR. También ha realizado estancias en centros de investigación de prestigio en el extranjero vinculando su investigación con la de los centros receptores.

Alexander Sanchez diaz

Alexander Sánchez Díaz tiene experiencia en ciencias de la computación y tecnologías de la educación. Ha trabajado en la Universidad Agraria de la Habana y la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia en España. Actualmente, trabaja en proyectos I+D de Inteligencia Artificial en Lucentia Lab. Ha dirigido varias tesis doctorales y colaborado en proyectos internacionales, incluido el proyecto “Unlocking the Colonial Archive” de la Universidad de Lancaster. Alexander también ha presentado tres registros de propiedad intelectual en España y ha liderado el primer sistema de Ventanilla Única para trámites de ciudadanía en Cuba. Sus áreas de interés incluyen la Minería de Procesos, la Visión por Computador, los Asistentes Virtuales, el Machine Learning, el Deep Learning, el Big Data, la Optimización, la Computación Paralela y Distribuida.

Manuel Marco Such es un profesor titular de la Universidad de Alicante y licenciado en Ciencias Físicas y un Doctorado en Ingeniería Informática. Ha ocupado diversos cargos de liderazgo, incluyendo ser Vicerrector de Infraestructuras y Nuevas Tecnologías en la Universidad de Alicante, Director de Tecnología en Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes y Director General de Recursos en La Red S.L. Su experiencia se centra en E-Learning y Bibliotecas Digitales, y ha publicado varias investigaciones en revistas nacionales e internacionales de calidad, además de haber registrado varias patentes de Propiedad Intelectual. Actualmente, se desempeña como Director de Tecnología del Centro Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes, y sus intereses de investigación incluyen la aplicación de Web Semántica, Big Data e Inteligencia Artificial.

Ingeniero Técnico en Informática de Gestión, Ingeniero en Informática y Doctor Ingeniero en Informática por la Universidad de Alicante. Profesor Asociado del Departamento de Lenguajes y Sistemas Informáticos de la Universidad de Alicante.
Ha impartido docencia en diferentes asignaturas de Ingeniería del Software desde 2005 en las siguientes titulaciones oficiales de la Universidad de Alicante: Ingeniería Técnica en Informática de Gestión (plan 2001), Ingeniería Informática (plan 2001), Licenciatura en Informática y Máster en Servicios Web y Desarrollo de Aplicaciones. También ha impartido docencia en diferentes asignaturas oficiales de la Universidad de Alicante en las que ha hecho uso de diferentes tecnologías como Java, PHP, .NET, iOS, Windows Phone, CSS/HTML, jQuery, etc. En su actual área de investigación trabaja en la obtención de indicadores (KPIs) a partir del tratamiento de grandes volúmenes de información estructurada (Big Data).

Jesús Peral Cortés

Jesús Peral, Doctor en Informática por la Universidad de Alicante en 2001, es conocido por sus investigaciones sobre el Procesamiento del Lenguaje Natural, la Extracción de Información, la Recuperación de Información, Búsqueda de Respuestas, almacenes de datos y aplicaciones de Inteligencia de Negocio. En la Universidad de Alicante, fue director del Programa de Doctorado en Informática y secretario del Departamento de Lenguajes y Sistemas Informáticos. Ha liderado proyectos de investigación a nivel nacional e internacional en colaboración con empresas públicas y privadas, dirigiendo 5 tesis doctorales y publicando más de 90 artículos en revistas y conferencias especializadas, de los cuales 28 aparecen en el Journal Citation Reports (JCR). Peral también ha sido coeditor de 4 números especiales de revistas JCR, y ha participado en más de 30 programas, comités organizadores y revisor de congresos y revistas nacionales e internacionales.

Rafael Romero Jaén

Profesor Titular Universitario

Rafael Romero es un profesional graduado en Informática, especialidad de Gestión, por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Hasta la obtención de su plaza de Titular de Escuela Universitaria en 1997 en la Universidad de Alicante, compatibilizó su actividad profesional como Analista-Programador de Sistemas con contratos de Asociado a Tiempo Parcial en la Universidad de Alicante. Ha impartido principalmente docencia de primer y segundo ciclo en las titulaciones de Ingeniero en Informática, así como en Ingenierías Técnicas en Informática de Gestión y Sistemas y actualmente en los estudios de Grado en Ingeniería Informática con asignaturas relacionadas con la Programación, Ingeniería del Software, Sistemas de Información. Además, desde 2003 hasta la actualidad, ha impartido docencia en asignaturas de Informática y Tecnologías aplicadas al turismo tanto en la antigua titulación de Diplomatura en Turismo como en los actuales Grado de Turismo y doble Grado en Turismo y Administración y Dirección de Empresas.

María Dolores Sáez Fernández es una graduada en ingeniería técnica en informática de gestión de la Universidad de Alicante. Ha completado un Máster en Desarrollo de Aplicaciones y Servicios Web y se encuentra actualmente realizando un doctorado en Informática. Como investigadora y desarrolladora, María se dedica a la Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes, centrándose en las áreas de visualización y calidad de datos en bibliotecas digitales. A través de sus investigaciones, se esfuerza por mejorar la experiencia del usuario y el acceso a la información. María ha demostrado un gran interés por las bibliotecas digitales y ha participado en varios proyectos de investigación para mejorar la calidad y accesibilidad de los datos en estas plataformas. Además, ha contribuido a varias publicaciones nacionales e internacionales en estas áreas de interés.

Actualmente, ocupa el cargo de Investigador en XSB Disseny i multimedia, donde se dedica a desarrollar nuevas tecnologías para aplicaciones web y multimedia. Además, es profesor asociado en la Universidad de Alicante, donde imparte asignaturas en varios programas académicos, incluyendo Grado en informática, Grado en multimedia, Grado en ingeniería biomédica y master en informática. También está realizando su Doctorado en informática, con un enfoque en la Inteligencia Artificial, lo que le permite mantenerse actualizado con las últimas tendencias y avances en su campo de especialización.

Álvaro Navarro López-Menchero

 Investigador predoctoral

Álvaro Navarro López-Menchero es un investigador predoctoral contratado por el proyecto AETHER-UA (PID2020-112540RB-C43). Además, es estudiante del doctorado en informática. Sendos cargos son dirigidos y tutelados por el Profesor Catedrático Juan Carlos Trujillo Mondéjar, director del grupo de investigación Lucentia Research Group del Departamento de Lenguajes y Sistemas Informáticos (DLSI) de la Universidad de Alicante (UA).
Su línea de investigación se encuentra íntimamente ligada a diferentes aspectos contemplados por organizaciones tales como la Unión Europea (UE) en su agenda 2030, década denominada de la transformación digital y de inclusión en esta emergente industria 4.0 (llámese también cuarta revolución industrial). Más en específico, dicha línea se enfoca en la explicabilidad de la inteligencia artificial, el modelado de sistemas y entornos, el aprendizaje automático o la justicia de la inteligencia artificial, entre otros.

Jorge García Carrasco

Jorge es un investigador predoctoral contratado por la beca CIACIF de la GVA (CIACIF/2021/454). Tras graduarse en Física en 2020 con especialización en computación cuántica, su interés por profundizar en el campo de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) lo llevó a continuar sus estudios con un Máster en Ciencia de Datos. Durante su formación, Jorge adquirió experiencia en áreas como el machine learning, el procesamiento de lenguaje natural y la minería de datos. Esta experiencia lo llevó a unirse a Lucentia Research, donde actualmente está realizando una tesis doctoral centrada en la explicabilidad de sistemas de IA, analizándolos desde un punto de vista teórico, con el objetivo de mejorar la confiabilidad y la seguridad de dichos sistemas. Su experiencia y formación en física y computación cuántica combina las habilidades técnicas necesarias para el desarrollo de sistemas de IA avanzados con una comprensión teórica profunda de su funcionamiento.

Con un master en ciencia de datos, actualmente trabaja en Lucentia Research, donde se dedica al desarrollo de la arquitectura para la recolección de datos de diferentes dispositivos en el proyecto Balladeer. Con su experiencia en tecnologías Big Data, Alejandro es capaz de diseñar y desarrollar sistemas escalables y eficientes para el almacenamiento y análisis de grandes cantidades de datos. Con su enfoque en la calidad y la eficiencia.

Marina Guillén Davó

Social Media Manager

Marina Guillén Davó es una recién graduada en marketing con un gran interés en la investigación y el análisis de datos. Actualmente, se encuentra cursando un máster en comunicación digital para ampliar sus conocimientos y habilidades en el campo del marketing digital. Su papel en Lucentia es el de Social Media Manager, donde aplica sus habilidades en investigación y análisis de datos para la planificación y ejecución de estrategias de marketing en las redes sociales de la empresa. Con su perfil investigativo y su dedicación, está dispuesta a seguir aprendiendo y creciendo en su carrera académica y profesional.

Marina Maciá Ferrández

Diseñadora Gráfica

Marina es una diseñadora gráfica con una gran pasión por la tecnología. Actualmente trabaja en el grupo de investigación de Lucentia, donde se encarga de crear diseños impactantes y atractivos para los videojuegos en sus diferentes plataformas, así como también realiza otras labores propias del diseño gráfico como páginas web o identidades corporativas. Con su creatividad e innovación, Marina es capaz de crear experiencias visuales únicas y emocionantes para los usuarios de este proyecto. Su habilidad para combinar arte y tecnología le permite crear diseños que son tanto estéticamente atractivos como funcionales.
