Juan C. Trujillo wins the 2019 ER Fellow Award

Juan Carlos Trujillo, professor at the University of Alicante in the Department of Computer Languages and Systems and founding partner of Lucentia LAB – a company located in Torre Juana – Open Space Technology has been awarded the ER Fellow 2019 Award.

 

 

The ER Fellows Award is an honor given to selected individuals in the conceptual modeling community in recognition of their contributions to ER research, ER education, and ER community service. The International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER) is the conceptual modeling field’s most relevant international forum for presenting and discussing research.

Professor Trujillo’s most relevant field of research is conceptual modeling that aims to help people to know, understand or simulate a subject that the model represents. Since 1998 he has contributed to the subareas of data warehousing design (DW) and business intelligence (BI) modeling, developing innovative modeling techniques. In addition, since 2008 he is founder and director of the Lucentia research group, with which he has published more than 200 papers.
